For your holiday in Alvor our large air conditioned 1st floor private apartment in Alvor is situated near to the popular Club Alvor Ferias apartment complex. The apartment in Alvor is in a quiet relaxing area is just 5 minutes from the fascinating small town of Alvor with its vast choice of places to eat out. The extensive sandy beaches and coves are just about a 10 minute walk away.

The apartment in Alvor which is strictly non smoking is our own home in Portugal and features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and accommodates 4 persons. It features 2 south facing balcony's with good views toward the sea. With sun on the main 6 metre long balcony from dawn to dusk you can sunbathe all day long. An internet wireless access point is available in the apartment.

For Golfers the Alto golf club is 5 minutes by car with the championship course at Pennina around 15-20 minutes away by car.

With English friends living nearby who handle the keys you can rest assured that there is someone on hand at all times who can offer you help and advice if required.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:

The large apartment in Alvor is light, airy, comfortably furnished and equipped to a very high standard as this is our own home. It has the benefit of bronze tinted double glazed doors/windows and high ceilings (average 3m) to help keep the apartment comfortable even on the warmest days. Security shutters are also fitted to all main windows.

The floors are tiled throughout with rugs in the bedrooms and lounge.

The adjacent adjoining apartments below and to the side are privately owned with the owners often in residence.

Entrance Hall:
A 7m long hallway leads to all rooms

Lounge
:
Spacious 6 x 4m lounge & dining area with seating for 6 people.
Sliding patio doors lead out to a large and beautiful south facing balcony with views to toward the sea.


Satellite
television
is provided with basic free English Sky channels. A DVD player is connected to the Televison. There is also a small radio.

Bedrooms:
1 double bedroom with large built in wardrobes and plenty of storage space, en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, WC & Bidet.
1 twin bedroom again with
large built in wardrobes.
Both bedrooms face north, are cool in the summer and have extensive views toward the Monchique mountains.

Bathrooms:
Their are 2 bathrooms maintained to a very high standard.
Both are fitted with bath/shower, WC & Bidet, fan heater, extractor fans and low voltage halogen ceiling lights. The ensuite bathroom also has a dehumidifier fitted that is useful to keep towels dry.

Kitchen:
Fully fitted kitchen with gas hob, fan assisted electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric kettle, toaster, microwave oven, iron & ironing board etc.
All crockery and utensils are provided.

Heating
/Cooling:
Air Conditioning is fitted in both bedrooms and in the lounge and provides cooling or heating. A log burning fire is fitted for those who prefer a real fire during the winter evenings (logs not supplied but available locally). Two dehumidifiers are also available during the cooler and more humid winter periods.

Maid Service:
Maid service is normally twice per week. Towels are changed twice per week, linen once per week. All linen (bed and kitchen) and bathroom towels are provided (please bring your own beach and pool towels). Our apartment in Alvor is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout.

Telephone:
Incoming calls only except for Emergency and outgoing local calls

Smoking:
In the interest of others Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment.
 

AVAILABILITY:

Please contact us for details of availability. Long Term winter letting may be available from the end of October to the end of March


OUTSIDE:


There are 3 balconies.
A small
south facing balcony leads off from the kitchen through double patio doors.
The main
south facing balcony 20 feet x 9 feet accommodates two sun loungers.
There is
also a patio table, sun umbrella and 4 chairs on the balcony.
A new awning has been fitted this year to provide more shade if required.
 

PETS:

Sorry but Pets are not permissible
 

DISTANCE TO COAST/BEACH:

Our apartment in Alvor is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beautiful Alvor beach and coves. Apart from July and August the beaches are not crowded. Sun beds & umbrellas are available along the beach at a reasonable cost.
A number of newly constructed beachfront restaurants have been completed and offer a good range of food and drink and WC facilities.

 

DISTANCE TO AIRPORT:

From Faro airport the journey time will be approximately 1 hour using the new motorway that is open all of the way to Lagos.  A map giving details of the directions will be provided.
 

CAR HIRE:

A car
is definitely beneficial but is not essential as coach transfers are available from the airport direct to Alvor. Our apartment is just a few minutes walk from the Clube Alvor Ferias reception area. Car hire can be arranged for you if required - please contact us for details. Taxis from the airport to Alvor cost around €50
 

CHANGEOVER DAY:

No particular day.

 

BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS:

Minimum rental is 1 week. We shall require
a 40% deposit at the time of booking with the balance due 4 weeks before arrival. Confirmation of your booking along with a receipt for your deposit and final payment will be sent to you well in advance of your departure.

All prices include a weekly change of bed linen and twice weekly change of towels and the final cleaning after each occupancy.

A breakage deposit of 200 Euros is required on arrival (this may be given as a Sterling cheque) and totally refunded at the end of your vacation after the keys have been delivered and an inspection of the apartment has been done.

To try and make life easier for you we shall provide you with a map giving full directions and comprehensive written instructions to assist you with your journey from the airport to the apartment.

We reserve the right to alter or amend interior fittings and furnishings etc without prior notice to improve the level of accommodation.
